I had meant to write more blog entries in 2025. But for various reasons that did not happen. I will note that during 2025 various things such as the political activities in the USA were distressing. Distressing but not unexpected. When the POTUS propagates incoherent and erratic policies the situation worsens. Other persons have written incisive articles about the current situation and at the moment I just don't have the words to add much new to the discussion. I suspect that 2025 will be one of those things which are best reviewed after some time has passed.
Speaking of reviews I had hoped to write several book reviews this year but I failed to get them written. I will note the novel Death of the Author written by Nnedi Okorafor. I recommend this book. The book deals with a wide range of topics ranging from writing a novel about robots to issues about ethnicity and culture to issues about perceptions of disability and much more. Seriously this is book well worth reading.
The later part of the summer and early part of fall were particularly difficult for me due to some increased medication. I am now back on the standard doze which still has side-effects but not as bad as the double dose. I am slowly trying to get back in stride. I am very happy here in Tempe Arizona.
